Epoxy Specialists Naranja Florida

Why Naranja Trusts SPF Industrial

We’ve been solving flooring problems across South Florida for years, and we understand what works in this climate. We’re not the cheapest option, and that’s intentional.

You’re dealing with Florida’s unique challenges – salt air that corrodes everything, UV rays that fade and crack inferior coatings, and humidity that creates problems other states never see. We use coating systems specifically engineered for these conditions.

Our team has installed floors in everything from residential garages to major commercial facilities. We know what holds up and what fails, so you don’t have to learn the hard way.

Epoxy Installation Process Naranja

How We Install Your Epoxy System

First, we properly prepare your concrete surface. This means addressing any cracks, cleaning thoroughly, and creating the right profile for adhesion. Most failures happen because this step gets rushed – we don’t rush it.

Next, we apply our primer system designed for Florida’s concrete conditions. Then comes the base coat, followed by decorative elements if you’ve chosen them. Finally, we apply the topcoat that provides your chemical resistance and durability.

The entire process typically takes one to two days depending on your space size. We schedule around your needs and keep disruption to a minimum. You’ll have a fully cured, ready-to-use floor within 24-48 hours of completion.

What’s Included in Your Installation

Every SPF Industrial epoxy installation includes proper surface preparation, premium coating materials, and professional application. We don’t cut corners on prep work because we know that’s where most problems start.

You get coating systems rated for heavy traffic and chemical resistance. Our materials are specifically chosen for South Florida’s climate conditions – they won’t yellow from UV exposure or fail from humidity like cheaper alternatives.

Naranja’s mix of residential and light commercial properties means we see everything from garage floors that need to handle daily car traffic to warehouse spaces requiring industrial-grade durability. We match the system to your actual use, not just what looks good in a brochure.

How long does epoxy flooring last in Florida’s climate?

Quality epoxy systems installed correctly can last 15-20 years in Florida, even with our challenging climate conditions. The key is using UV-stable formulations and proper surface preparation.

Cheaper systems might start failing within 2-3 years, especially with peeling, yellowing, or hot tire pickup. We use coating systems specifically engineered for Florida’s heat, humidity, and UV exposure. The initial investment in quality materials pays off because you’re not redoing the floor every few years.

We can work with cracked concrete, but the cracks need to be properly addressed first. Small hairline cracks can often be filled and sealed as part of the prep process. Larger structural cracks require different approaches.

We evaluate each floor individually because the solution depends on why the concrete cracked and whether it’s still moving. Sometimes we can create a flexible repair that moves with the concrete. Other times we need to recommend concrete repair before coating. We’re honest about what will work long-term versus what might look good initially but fail later.

Polyaspartic coatings cure faster and have better UV resistance than traditional epoxy, but they’re more expensive. Pure epoxy systems offer excellent durability and chemical resistance at a lower cost, but take longer to cure.

We often use hybrid systems that combine both technologies – epoxy for the base layers where you get the chemical resistance and adhesion, then polyaspartic for the topcoat where you need UV stability and fast cure times. This gives you the benefits of both systems without the full cost of an all-polyaspartic installation.

Proper preparation starts with cleaning and degreasing the concrete surface completely. Then we mechanically profile the concrete using diamond grinding or shot blasting to create the right surface texture for adhesion.

Any cracks get filled and sealed. We test for moisture issues since Florida’s humidity can cause problems with adhesion. Oil stains require special treatment because they can bleed through coatings if not properly sealed. The entire surface gets vacuumed and wiped clean before any coating application begins.

This prep work takes time, but it’s what separates installations that last from ones that fail within a few years.

Quality epoxy systems with proper topcoats can handle normal hot tire contact without peeling or marking. The key is using the right coating formulation and allowing proper cure time before vehicle use.

Hot tire pickup usually happens with inferior coatings or when floors haven’t fully cured before use. We use systems rated for automotive traffic and provide clear guidelines on cure times. Most residential applications can handle normal passenger vehicle use without issues.

For areas with heavy truck traffic or extremely hot conditions, we might recommend polyaspartic topcoats or specialized high-temperature formulations.

Epoxy floors are low maintenance compared to bare concrete, but they’re not zero maintenance. Regular sweeping and occasional mopping with mild cleaners keeps them looking good. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that can dull the surface.

For garage floors, clean up oil spills promptly even though the coating resists staining. Commercial floors might need periodic deep cleaning depending on use. Most residential epoxy floors just need the same attention you’d give any quality floor surface.

The maintenance is much less than what you’d do trying to keep bare concrete clean, and the floors actually stay clean instead of absorbing every stain and spill.
